This two days’ safari leads you to Uganda’s most visited National Park. It is made up of many eco systems including tropical high forests, woodland and acacia savannah, tundra and wetlands. It is for this reason it was declared as a World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.

Day 1 Transfer to Queen Elizabeth N.P

You guide is to meet you at your accommodation in Kampala or Entebbe for transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You arrive and check into the park before having lunch at the Mweya peninsula. You then have a boat trip on the Kazinga channel so as to animals as they come to ease their thirst. Expect to see crocodiles, monitor lizards, hippos, buffalos, elephants, impalas, kobs, waterbucks and so on. Kazinga channel hosts the largest number of bird species in Africa. It also has the largest concentration of hippos in the world and known as center of ecology. Bird species include; pelican, African fish eagle, cattle egrets, herons, kingfishers, marabou stalks, crested cranes and so on. After this activity, you are to have an evening game drive in the Kasenyi sector. This is a mating ground for antelopes and there for a good area for spotting predators such as lion, hyenas, leopards and so on. You then drive to your lodge for evening accommodation.

  • Day 2 Game drive and visit the salt lake. You are to wake up early for a morning game drive in search for more game. Expect to see hippos, buffaloes, elephants, lions, leopards, hyenas, warthogs, oribis, heartbeats and so many more. We then have bush breakfast and then visit a fishing village on Lake George. You then have some rest and later visit the Katwe Salt Lake. This lake has been in existence since the 16th century and is responsible for survival of most citizens in Katwe village. You are to learn how this local salt is extracted and made ready for sale. You then have lunch and return to Kampala or Entebbe hence end of service.

  • Light clothes (for game drives in the warm savannah)

  • Insect repellent to avoid insect bites on game drives and boat trips
  • You can easily add on white water rafting, chimpanzee or gorilla tracking on this safari
  • Flights between parks/sites can be arranged on request.
  • This safari will be confirmed after receiving at least 1/3 of the quoted price, the remaining balance can be settled on arrival.
