Kidepo Valley National park is located in Kaabong District, in the northeastern corner of Uganda.The park consists of the two major valley systems of the Kidepo and Narus Rivers.Game viewing is possible by vehicle on dirt roads that crisscross the southern and western parts of the park. A few trunk roads are improved with murram and are passable in all weather.


This five days’ adventure leads you to Uganda’s most isolated park and this gives you chance to have it almost at your own since it is never crowded by tourists. It is also ranked among Africa’s true wilderness due to its rich fauna and flora. What makes it special are four of the big five excluding the rhino not forgetting the ostrich and cheetah which cannot be spotted in any other park in Uganda.

Day 1 – Transfer to Kitgum

Your guide will pick you from your Hotel in Kampala or Entebbe for transfer to northern Uganda. We are to have lunch on the way and have overnight in Kitgum to break the journey. Travel time – Approx. 7Hrs Meal plan – Breakfast, lunch and supper. Accommodation – Boma

Day 2 – Kideppo National Park

We wake up at mighty breakfast prepared by our accommodation and then continue our journey into Kiddepo Valley National Park. We begin with a game drive and then check in our lodge and then have lunch. We relax and have an evening game drive later in the afternoon in search for lion, leopard, elephant, hyena, warthog, giraffe, mongoose and zebra. Kideppo is the only Uganda’s park where you can see the cheetah and ostrich.

  • Day 3 Kideppo National Park and visit a Karimajong community.

    We wake up for breakfast and then have a morning game drive. We drive back to our accommodation for lunch as we prepare for a cultural experience with the Karimajong community which includes a cultural performance and a camp fire. These are nomadic pastoralists and their way of life is very close to that of the Masai .

  • Day 4 –Transfer to Masindi

    After breakfast, we start our journey back to Masindi close to Murchison Falls. This is aimed at breaking the long journey from Kideppo to Kampala.

  • Meal plan – Breakfast, lunch and supper.
  • Accommodation – New Park View Hotel
  • Day 5 Rhino tracking and transfer to Kampala

    You will wake up at a leisure breakfast and the move to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track rhinos on foot at a safe distance in the company of an expert guide. Rhinos are also among the African big five and we expect you to have seen all the big five after this five days’ adventure. We then proceed to Kampala and you will be dropped off at a destination of your choice hence end of service.
