This 6 days’ adventure highlights search for wildlife, chimpanzee tracking, nature walks and visiting a salt lake. It leads us to Lake Mburo National park which is the nearest in Kampala and the only in Western Uganda where you can spot a zebra and a giraffe. We then continue to Queen Elizabeth famous for the boat trip on the Kazinga channel and the tree climbing lions.

  • Day 1 Arrival

    On arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be met by your guide for transfer to your accommodation in Entebbe or Kampala. On this day, you will be briefed about your whole tour.

  • Day 2 Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

    After breakfast, we start our journey towards Mbarara and check in Lake Mburo National park. We shall have a stop at Kayabwe (Equator village) to take photos buy some souvenirs. We arrive in time for lunch and have a boat trip on Lake Mburo. Expect to see many animals easing their thirst by the lakeside including; hippos, crocodiles warthogs, giraffes, impalas, zebras and many bird species. Here it is possible to spot the rare shoe bill stalk. We then have a walk safari and end our day with an evening game drive in these savannah plains.

  • Day 3 Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park

    We wake up for early breakfast and embark on a morning game drive to search for more game. We then continue with our journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We arrive in time for lunch and later visit the Katwe salt lake. . This lake has been in existence since the 16th century and is responsible for survival of people leaving in the Katwe village. You will learn about how salt is extracted from the salt pans and made ready for consumption. We then check in our lodge for evening accommodation.

  • Day 4 Game drives and boat trip

    We wake up early for a morning game drive to search for the early risers. This is the best time to spot predators such as lions, leopards and the spotted hyena. We then drive back to our lodge for late breakfast. We then go for a boat trip on the Kazinga channel which is also known as center of ecology. This will give you a platform to see a number of bird species and other wildlife. This water stream joins lakes Edward and George and is said to have the largest concentration of hippos in the world. You shall then have some rest at the Mweya peninsula before going for an evening game drive to see more animals. You then drive to your lodge for evening accommodation. Our game drive will start in Kabatoro where we are to see large herds of elephants, buffaloes, hippos and many antelopes.

    Day 5 Chimpanzee tracking

    After breakfast, we prepare ourselves for the once in a life time experience (chimpanzee tracking).You may track the chimps in the Kyambura Gorge or Imaramagambo Forest or Kalinzu Forest; the choice is yours. This activity is a bit challenging but very rewarding, so expect to walk for one to six hours depending where the chimps will be on this day. Having encountered them, you will be given a full hour to enjoy your time. The chimpanzees’ behavior can provide a clue to that of our early ancestors.

    Day 6 Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe

    We depart after breakfast for transfer to Kampala or Entebbe to catch your flight. You pass the ever green plant cover that Uganda is known for having a stop in Mbarara town for lunch. Arrival at Entebbe will be in the evening; therefore, you are advised to book an evening flight on this day.

    This safari will be confirmed after receiving at least 1/4 of the quoted price, the remaining balance can be settled on arrival.

    A flying Air Balloon Safari in Queen Elizabeth can be arranged on request. (US Dollars 380 per person) While on site, we accept payment in only US Dollars, GB Pound, Euros and UG Shillings. Chimpanzee tracking is not available for children below 16 yrs. However we can substitute it with another activity such as having a nature walk or visiting a fishing village on the shores of Lake George. On this tour, you can remove the bits you do not want and add ones that you want to suit your budget and interest.
